Ingredients
4 salmon fillets
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 tablespoons honey
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
1. Pat the salmon fillets dry and season both sides generously with Cajun seasoning. Let them sit at room temperature for 10 minutes.
2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the salmon skin-side down for 4–5 minutes, then flip and cook another 3–4 minutes until done. Remove from pan and set aside.
3. Lower the heat to medium. In the same skillet, add butter and let it melt. Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
4. Add honey and lemon juice to the skillet and stir. Let the sauce simmer for 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.
5. Return the salmon to the skillet and spoon the glaze over the top. Let it sit in the sauce for another minute.
6. Optionally broil for 1–2 minutes for caramelized finish.
7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Notes
Let the seasoned salmon sit at room temperature before cooking to help it cook evenly.
Use a heavy skillet like cast iron for the best sear and flavor.
Don’t skip the glaze step—it's what transforms this dish into something truly special.
