Ingredients
230g bowtie pasta (farfalle)
2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon butter (plus more if needed)
3 cloves garlic minced
1 cup heavy cream
1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
2 tablespoons chopped parsley or basil (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Pat chicken breasts dry and coat with Cajun seasoning, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Let rest for 10–15 minutes.
2. Cook bowtie pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and reserve ½ cup of pasta water.
3. In a skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium-high. Sear chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and rest before slicing.
4. In the same skillet, lower heat to medium. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
5. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Gradually add mozzarella, stirring until smooth.
6. Season sauce with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Add a splash of pasta water if sauce is too thick.
7. Toss in the cooked pasta and stir to coat evenly in the sauce. Simmer 1–2 minutes.
8. Plate the pasta and top with sliced Cajun chicken. Garnish with fresh parsley and optional Parmesan.
9. Serve hot and enjoy immediately.
Notes
Use freshly shredded mozzarella for the smoothest, creamiest sauce.
Let your chicken rest before slicing to keep it juicy.
A splash of pasta water can fix an overly thick or tight sauce instantly.
