Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ball pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce, plus extra for tossing chicken
  • 1 cup cooked chicken (grilled or roasted), chopped or shredded
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 red onion, thinly sliced (optional)
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
  • Cornmeal or flour for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside.
  2. Roll out your pizza dough on a floured surface to about 12 inches in diameter.
  3. Lightly dust a pizza peel or another baking sheet with cornmeal or flour and transfer the dough onto it.
  4. Spread 1/2 cup BBQ sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border.
  5. Toss cooked chicken in a few tablespoons of BBQ sauce, then distribute it evenly over the pizza.
  6. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the top, followed by red onion slices if using.
  7. Carefully slide the pizza onto the preheated stone or baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.
  9. Remove from oven, garnish with chopped cilantro, let sit for 2 minutes, then slice and serve.
