Description

Baked Pears with Goat Cheese, Honey, and Cranberries is a beautifully balanced dish that blends sweet, savory, and tangy notes. Ripe pear halves are roasted until tender, filled with creamy goat cheese, and topped with tart cranberries and a drizzle of honey. It’s elegant, easy to make, and perfect for entertaining or a cozy evening at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe but firm pears (Bosc or Anjou preferred)
  • 4 oz goat cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup fresh or dried cranberries
  • 23 tbsp honey (plus extra for drizzling)
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar (optional)
  • 1 tbsp melted butter (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Wash, dry, and halve the pears. Scoop out cores with a melon baller or spoon.
  3. If needed, slice a sliver off the bottom so pears sit flat.
  4. Fill each pear cavity with 1 to 1.5 tbsp of goat cheese.
  5. Add cranberries on top of the goat cheese.
  6. Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with cinnamon. Add brown sugar and melted butter if using.
  7. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes until pears are fork-tender and caramelized.
  8. Let cool slightly, then drizzle with more honey and garnish with rosemary.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!
