Description

These Baked Pears with Feta, Honey & Cranberries are an irresistible mix of sweet, savory, and tangy in every bite. This easy recipe turns simple ingredients into a show-stopping dish perfect for quick breakfast, healthy snack, or light dessert. Great for holiday appetizers, brunch ideas, or easy dinner sides, it’s naturally gluten-free and easy to adapt. The warm roasted pear pairs perfectly with creamy feta, tart cranberries, and a drizzle of golden honey for a delightful balance of textures and flavors.

Ingredients

Scale

2 ripe but firm pears

1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese

1/3 cup fresh or dried cranberries

2 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoon olive oil

4 sprigs fresh thyme

1/4 teaspoon chili flakes or black pepper (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.

2. Wash and slice the pears in half lengthwise. Scoop out the cores to create a cavity in each half.

3. Place the pear halves cut side up in the baking dish. Brush each with olive oil.

4. Fill each hollow with crumbled feta and cranberries.

5. Drizzle honey over each pear and sprinkle with chili flakes or black pepper if using.

6. Bake for 25–30 minutes until pears are tender and slightly golden.

7. Remove from oven, rest for 5 minutes, then garnish with fresh thyme. Serve warm.

Notes

Choose pears like Bosc or Anjou for best results.

Adjust the level of honey based on how sweet your pears are.

Let pears cool slightly before serving to enhance the flavor.
