Ingredients
- 2 slices of bread (white, sourdough, or whole grain)
- 3–4 slices mozzarella cheese
- ½ ripe avocado (sliced or mashed)
- 2–3 slices ripe tomato
- 1–2 tablespoons butter (or olive oil)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions

Slice the mozzarella and tomatoes. Prepare the avocado by slicing or mashing it.

Butter one side of each bread slice.

On the unbuttered side of one slice, layer mozzarella, tomatoes, and avocado. Season with salt and pepper.

Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side facing out.

Heat a skillet over medium heat.

Place the sandwich in the pan. Cook for 3–4 minutes per side, pressing lightly, until golden brown and cheese is melted.
