Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 flour tortillas (8-inch size)
  • 3 large apples, peeled and diced (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp recommended)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, toss diced apples with granulated sugar and cinnamon.
  3. Spoon apple mixture into the center of each tortilla. Roll tightly and place seam-side down in the prepared baking dish.
  4. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in brown sugar and water. Bring to a gentle boil, then remove from heat and add vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the warm sauce evenly over the rolled tortillas.
  6. Bake uncovered for 20 to 25 minutes, until the sauce is bubbling and the tortillas are slightly golden.
  7. Let cool for 5–10 minutes before serving. Top with ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
