Description

A quick and easy recipe for crispy air fryer taquitos filled with seasoned meat and cheese, perfect for a snack, appetizer, or dinner. These healthier taquitos are golden brown and crunchy without deep frying. Enjoy them with guacamole, salsa, or sour cream for extra flavor!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 small corn or flour tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken (or beef)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or Mexican blend)
  • 1/2 cup salsa or enchilada sauce
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Olive oil or cooking spray
  • Optional toppings: sour cream, guacamole, diced tomatoes, cilantro, jalapeños

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix shredded chicken, cheese, salsa, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, and salt.
  2. Warm tortillas in the microwave for 15-20 seconds to prevent cracking.
  3. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of filling onto each tortilla and roll tightly.
  4. Lightly spray or brush taquitos with olive oil.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (190°C).
  6. Arrange taquitos in a single layer, seam-side down, in the air fryer basket.
  7. Cook for 7-10 minutes, flipping halfway, until crispy and golden brown.
  8. Serve with sour cream, guacamole, or salsa, and enjoy!
