- 6 large dill pickles, halved lengthwise and scooped out
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 tbsp chopped chives or green onions
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt & pepper to taste
Topping:
- 1/4 cup seasoned breadcrumbs or panko
- 1 tbsp melted butter
Optional Add-ins:
- Chopped cooked bacon
- Jalapeños or hot sauce
- Fresh dill or parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Slice pickles in half lengthwise and scoop out the centers to form boats.
- Pat the hollowed pickles dry with paper towels.
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, shredded cheddar, chives, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Spoon or pipe the filling into each pickle half.
- In a separate bowl, mix breadcrumbs with melted butter.
- Sprinkle the buttery breadcrumbs over the filled pickles.
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (if needed).
- Place pickles in the air fryer basket or tray in a single layer.
- Air fry for 8–10 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Remove carefully and garnish with fresh herbs if desired. Serve warm.
