Description

These Crispy Oven-baked Wings are the perfect combination of crunchy, flavorful, and juicy without the need for deep frying! Using baking powder and high heat, these wings get irresistibly crispy, making them a great option for game nights, parties, or an easy dinner. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce and sides for the ultimate meal.

Ingredients

Scale

  • 2 lbs chicken wings (drumettes and flats)
  • 1 tbsp baking powder (aluminum-free)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional)
  • Sauce of choice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
  2. Pat the wings dry thoroughly with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  3. In a large bowl, mix baking powder, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and onion powder. Toss wings in the mixture until evenly coated.
  4. Arrange the wings on the wire rack in a single layer, ensuring they do not touch.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes, then flip each wing and bake for another 25-30 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  6. (Optional) Toss in your favorite sauce and return to the oven for 5 minutes to caramelize.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
